eBay Makes Change to Ivory Policy

At start of new year, ivory sale banned with exceptions

In Friday, eBay announced a change to its policy on the sale of ivory. Brian Burke of the auctioneer's Policy Team announced that all ivory sales will be banned, with two exceptions:

1) Pianos with ivory keys will be permitted.
2) Wood furniture with ivory inlays will be permitted as long as the item was created before 1900.

The ban is an extension of the company's Animals & Wildlife Products Policy.

Among the penalties that eBay may assess to violators are: listing cancellation, limits on account privileges, account suspension, forfeit of eBay fees on cancelled listings and loss of PowerSeller status.

(Pictured: From Flickr, a man stands amid a pile of confiscated ivory. Is a necklace really worh an elephant's life? eBay wants no part of this. Kudos to them.)

I just find this amazing. As a fan of radio and talk shows. I am enjoying the blog. However, I think Ebay left out a few things that are ivory that shouldn't be banned. Must have been killing too many animals. B
But this blog proves to me that anyone wanting to get into radio with a creative flourishing idea, should! To get into radio and get connected inside the station http://www.radioconnection.com

Larry,

Thanks. We'll certainly check out your site. It is not for a lack of connections in radio that we are still online-only. As our bios will tell you, we've are in the business, in various ways. But getting this idea from here to on the air entail a great deal more than even we'd counted on. But we're looking to get moving on syndication in the new year. Thanks for the love.
