Six Flags Over Georgia Hits eBay with Monster Auction
Wednesday, December 03, 2008

From the Atlanta Business Chronicle:
Fans of the Monster Plantation at Six Flags Over Georgia can own one of the original monsters through an EBay online charity auction that starts Thursday.
The highest bidder will win Scout, a boyscout in the "Little Monster Club," and an adoption certificate issued by the park. All of proceeds from the auction will be donated to Children's Healthcare of Atlanta on behalf of Six Flags Friends, the charitable arm of Six Flags Inc.
To bid, go to www.ebay.com and search for item number 180311122962 or seller "SixFlagsOverGeorgia." Bidding will start at $100.
Monster Plantation will reopen in May 2009 after a major renovation. Many of the original monsters will return to the mansion. But the new voyage will have new characters and interactive elements.

Who cares about this story? Kind of lame. Other wise your site alright.

We disagree about the aforementioned lameness. Maybe Anchorage is just too cold outside to leave the house in order to experience something as awesome as Monster Plantation.
SaveScout.org will never forget all the years Scout and his monster friends gave the people. Nearly 3 decades! The last thing we want to see is another Atlanta icon (and hard-working monster) fall into obscurity. Atlantans have many great memories of Monster Plantation and, as our community grows, we want to make sure Scout remains a part of it. We're hoping to partner with Monster Plantation fans all over and do whatever it takes to make sure Scout lands in a good home! God forbid he ends up in a less-than-fortunate situation.
"Oh, come on now, you’re invited!
To what?
To a picnic!
What kinda picnic?
Monster picnic, but humans are allowed today.
So, join the monsters at the mansion.
Relax and come inside, relax enjoy the ride!"

Yea I have to agree with tim. I did not find this story very useful or up my ally. I have seen better from your site.

I have to say how happy we are to have a conversation here. This was, very likely, not our best story. As in editing any journal, one is left to wonder what to leave in, what to leave out and what the audience wants to read about. Until we grow to the point that we're able to personally cover more of what takes place in the auction culture, we'll be left perusing what's out there and trying to find a few stories we hope our audience will find useful and/or entertaining to post each day. It is our hope that you will help us with just this kind of feedback. Thanks!
